The new version of the British sitcom will reportedly "pick up where Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft's much-loved comedy left off" as it promises to "bring some of the nation's all-time favourite sitcom characters including Mrs Slocombe, Captain Peacock, Miss Brahms, and Mr Humphries back to life". The comedy season is part of a celebration of 60 years since Tony Hancock's show, Hancock's Half Hour, premiered after making its switch from from radio to TV, which is a huge moment in TV history history for the sitcom.
